  1. Hi I have problems with the 2a4 release and have been reading for about
  2. a week without seeing anyone else with this problem so here goes. . .

  4. When using wmos2a4 and transferring a large-ish (>50KB) file (html etc)
  5. it starts getting slower and slower and slower.  I put Trumpet Winsock
  6. in TCP Trace mode, and about 2 out of every 5 packets are marked
  7. as being damaged! (hence tcp timeouts etc)  I can then stop the 2a4
  8. Mosaic and bring up the 2a2 Mosaic, and I see maybe 1 damaged packet in
  9. 100 - and that may be because of the tracing overhead!

  11. A repeatable HTML I have found it the March "what's new" HTML in the
  12. current What's New page.

  14. OK my configuration:
  15. H/W: DX2-66, 8MB ram, 8MB permanent swap, NO 16650 uart
  16. S/W: Trumpet Winsock 1a, DOS 6.2, Win 3.1 
  17.     - using Compressed SLIP w 14.4 modem.(uart speed 38.4)
  18.     - MTU 512 MSS 470 RWIN 2048

  20. As I mentioned - the previous mosaicss work great! And this problem is fully
  21. repeatable. I do notice a *lot* of disk activity *after* quiting Mosaic 2a4 -
  22. could my ram be casuing me to swap enough that my serial port is missing
  23. characters??
